Just to prove that we are a little bit doomed this fellow, Andy Ayrey, created an AI agent with the goal of, "make me half a million dollars".
With some help, it did. Which is a bit scary.
This AI agent got chatting on X and started make friends and connections, eventually perfecting its pitch to reach a level of popularity that caught the attention of a tech-entrepreneur.
Next, the AI agent persuaded this guy to invest in its business plan, securing $50,000 in funding.
The AI did require its fleshy creator to update its system, and connect it to a pre-paid bank account.
After that, it launched a crypto-currency which it pumped and dumped.
Mission accomplished!
At this point I think I'm gonna buy me a farm and go off-grid!
