AI will change the world
For the better I hope.
AI is that big a topic, with a small chance of human extinction.
Stephen Hawking was not a fan..., Geoffrey Hinton the Godfather of AI reckons there is a 10-20% chance AI could cause human extinction within the next 30 years. And Elon Musk suggests a similar number.
However, Dario Amodei of Anthropic paints a brighter picture with his essay "Machine of Loving Grace"


What is AI
I want to start here, because I do not think it has been explained to the public very well.
And the reason, in my view, is that we don't really understand what happened.
The scale of computation and the information involved is mind boggling,
Recognising that that we Grow ai is the biggest step change in thinking.
