AI husbands and wives in my life time

So this idea is a little wild, but the human race is a bit wild.

Men have already married computer game characters and women have married ghosts and pirates, so marrying a realistic humanoid robot that can talk fluently is really not a big deal.

I guess it is whether this practice of marrying a robot becomes common place, or even accepted by the Pope (unlikely!).

I think we already have the technology to create a very alluring and engaging character that is hard to distinguish from a real person in a digital form. The imagery, motion and conversation is pretty much there. Perhaps the biggest given away would be their perfection and obedience!

Next step is robotics. Initially that felt like a huge step in my mind, but recent product showcases from Tesla and the Chinese have made me rethink this barrier. Maybe they won't be exactly human like, but they will be impressive.
